My name is Karen Phelps and I am
a retired RN who loves teaching others about pertinent health information that can be easily understood and applied in our daily lives. Many years ago I did a paradigm shift in my wellness thinking – moving from the mind set of “medicine fixes anything” to the body was designed to fix itself and we need to give it what it needs to do that.
I also now understand and believe that health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. I love teaching things that I have learned that focus on prevention and being proactive with our wellness strategies. I emphasize good nutrition and natural health modalities as treatment for health challenges that can occur.
Forefront in the entire process is knowledge – having had to re-learn much of my traditional training by self study and deep searching for information that actually worked for maintaining and restoring health when applied faithfully. I strive to provide people with information that is often not in the main stream line of thinking or text, but is none the less true, accurate and effective.
My love for health and wellness along with understanding the need of good supplementation led to my being part of several network marketing companies that provide very high quality nutritional and personal care products. I am a Mannatech® Independent Associate.
I live on a small farm of 18 acres with my husband, Ed, of 36 years and our 21 year old son Wade where we have horses, a large garden, small greenhouse and a workable shop for building and repairing just about anything. I also enjoy organic gardening and love canning and freezing fruits and vegetables that are raised on the farm.
Two of my favorite motto’s are:
ALL things are possible only believe.
Seek and ye shall find. I have learned that this applies to ALL areas of life!
